CATTLE FOR SALE
Looking for your own Highland?
We offer a small number of registered Highland cattle for sale from our Kelku fold each year.
Our cattle are raised here at Edenvale Farm on the Far South Coast of NSW, with an emphasis on temperament, health, soundness and calm, regular handling.
We take great care in finding the right homes for the animals we breed, so our cattle are not sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We want to make sure each animal is well suited to their future home — and that their new home is right for them too.
Expressions of interest now open for 2027
We expect to have three registered Highland steers — Gordon, Henry and Thomas — available to approved homes from approximately June 2027.
The boys are being raised within our fold and handled regularly from a young age. Before leaving Edenvale Farm, each will be:
• Registered with the Australian Highland Cattle Society (AHCS)
• Halter trained
• Accustomed to being handled, brushed and hand-fed
• Up to date with our routine animal health program
• Assessed individually for temperament and suitability for their prospective home
As they grow, we'll continue to update their individual profiles with photographs, temperament and handling progress.
Expressions of interest are now welcome.

About Gordon
Gordon has been confident around people from the moment he was born. As soon as he was on his feet, he wanted to interact with us — and that hasn't changed.
Playful, affectionate and full of personality, Gordon will often come running across the paddock as soon as he sees us approaching. He's a boisterous young boy who loves attention, and with regular handling and halter training, we're helping all that confidence develop into a calm, well-mannered young steer.

About Henry
Henry is a gentle, sensitive little soul with the sweetest nature. Quietly affectionate and incredibly endearing, he's the kind of little fellow who doesn't take long to completely melt your heart.
He's also easy to recognise by the gorgeous white patch on his brisket, which makes him just that little bit extra special.
Thomas of Kelku

About Thomas
Thomas was a tall boy from the very beginning. Despite being two weeks younger than Gordon and Henry, he arrived almost as tall as they already were.
He's a sweet, slightly shy young steer who likes to take things at his own pace. His confidence is growing all the time, and we're enjoying watching his gentle personality emerge as he becomes more comfortable and curious around people.
